WHO: Halle Berry
WHERE & WHEN: Huading Film Awards on June 1, 2014.
WEARING: Elie Saab Haute Couture dress, and jewelry from M.C.L. by Matthew Campbell Laurenza & Jack Vartanian.
MY VERDICT: Halle hit the red carpet for the Huading Film Awards wearing a beautiful Elie Saab gown, which comes from one of the designer’s archived haute-couture collections. The “Extant” actress was being honored with the Global Icon Award at the Chinese film ceremony–which was held in the U.S. for the first time–so, it was fitting that she opted for such a glamorous dress. Halle’s Spring/Summer 2003 black asymmetric silk dress features elaborate floral embroidery, sheer sleeve detail and a lace framed high slit that showed off her black pointed pumps and toned gams.
She polished off the look with a sculpted swept pixie hairstyle, soft smoky eyes, a M.C.L. by Matthew Campbell Laurenza black spinel ring and pretty ruby Jack Vartanian ‘ear climbers’. I think this was one of her best fashion moments in recent years.
